The images on the National Television Network were disturbing. The Reporter's Camera zoomed in on Uncut Images of the Victims of Hurricane Katrina. These people had done what they were told. They had no choice. They were poor. They followed the Government's instructions. They waded--sometimes for hours--to get to a place where the Government said they would be safe. The Camera revealed a series awful pictures. Human Waste littered hallways where Sanitation Facilities had been destroyed. The Dead were left where they had fallen. The Survivors chanted "Help,Help,Help! You could see the desperation in their eyes. THEN THE REPORTER SAID THAT THESE PEOPLE HAD BEEN ABANDONED WITH NO WATER AND NO FOOD! Those hardest hit had no choice but to rely on the Government to do the best it could to help them in time of need. They were too poor to take necessary and prudent steps to protect themselves.
